Villa Senar is just a five-minute drive from the picturesque seaside town of Kas, nestled within a beautiful bay surrounded by mountains. Kas manages a delicate balance of traditional Turkey with international tourism. Many of its original Greek style houses are still preserved. Charming tea gardens, cafes and boutiques, as well as excellent restaurants and bars are located along cobblestone streets.
Every Friday there is a traditional Turkish village market in the centre of Kas for low-priced fresh fruit and vegetables as well as local handicrafts. Many residents from the Greek island of Meis also come to the market for their weekly groceries. The atmosphere is wonderful.
Several outdoor activities and tours are available from Kas including day trips to surrounding villages, scuba diving, boat trips, paragliding, sea kayaking, white water rafting, mountain biking and trekking. Many of these can be arranged via Journey Anatolia, for more information please contact us.
For those who love to explore, many historical sites and ancient ruins are nearby, such as carved rock tombs, sarcophagi and amphitheaters galore.
The famous sandy beaches of Patara and Kaputas are not very far and make great day trips. |
