It
is little wonder that heaps of thank-you letters flood in from
around the globe every year addressed to this modest, family
run guest house. Its smiling owner Akif, infuses Bellerophon Hotel
with his laid back personal charm and warm charisma. The result
is a guest house born of love and genuine passion. Ideally located
on Olympos Beach, Bellerophon is tranquil and offers
the ultimate relaxing beach break; even the meal times are not
set, get up for breakfast when you feel like it. With just 8 wooden
chalets, Bellerophon feels exclusive but never pretentious. Meals
are served on the beach patio, all food produce is local and fresh,
the breakfast is so rich that guests often photograph it, evening
meals consist of Turkish vegetarian starters, salads, grilled
meats and fish. Even the bread is baked on site every day. Occasionally
Akif's mum drops by with her home made cakes, jams and other delights
to add yet more vibrancy to the food.

Accommodation
- The Two Sides of Bellerophon Hotel
Original
Beach Side
The wooden
chalets here all have ensuite facilities and a mini bar. Air
conditioning is standard and your own private porch and hammock
add to your relaxation and comfort. The chalets are designed
for 2 people, though some can sleep a third person. They
are set in a lush sub-tropical garden with a diverse array of local
flora, including mulberry, orange, loquat, lemon, olive and banana
trees. The most appealing thing of all is that the chalets at Bellerophon
Hotel are situated on Olympos Beach. Go slightly off season and you'll
feel as though the whole beach is yours alone.
The New Orange Grove
Completed in 2008, the chalets at the Orange Grove have a more
spacious and contemporary feel, equipped with a modern ensuite
shower room, coffee maker, minibar and air con. There are 3 chalets
here in total, fully secluded amidst the Citrus Trees and just
200 meters from the beach section of Bellerophon Hotel. Guests
use the facilities at the main hotel, meals on
the beach patio, sun loungers, use of mountain
bikes etc.

Surroundings and Activities
The most striking element in Cirali is Olympos Beach. Surrounded by glorious mountains, blessed with crystal clear waters and so large it never feels crowded even in peak season. The beach is under protection as it is a nesting ground for sea turtles. As such, you will not find any banana boats or paragliders anywhere in sight. Heaven! Click for More Information
Save the Turtles Campaign
Journey Anatolia
will donate £10 from your booking to the Ulupinar Conservation
Coop who protect and monitor the activities of sea turtles. Olympos
beach is a popular nesting site for the species known as Caretta
Caretta. Protecting them may also save the area from major development.
There are few places left in Turkey, perhaps the whole mediterranean,
that are as undeveloped and as beautiful as Olympos Beach. Right.
A newly hatched makes for the sea.
