| "The most memorable part of our holiday
was the
smell of orange blossom stepping out onto the terrace each morning,
the kingfishers on the rocks by the beach, the wild flowers and
the combination of lush greenery, limestone mountains, ancient
sites and clear blue sea; the beautiful accomodation with terrace
surrounded by a beautiful garden and orchard and the wonderful
breakfasts. We went in April, out of season, so some restaraunts
are not really operating, but the disadvantage of this was offset
by the quietness, the fact that it wasn't too hot and the flowers
were in full bloom.
The local people obviously
rely on tourism but the low key nature of the resort means that
the impact on the environment or its population does not seem negative.
The food provided by our host for breakfast was all produced by
her (home made jam, olives, eggs from the hens and oranges picked
from the trees etc). We hardly used the car as bikes were provided
and we found plenty to do close to home (Olympos, Lycian Way etc).
A wonderful holiday, beautiful accomodation in a stunning section
of the mediterranean coast." Clare Richmond,

"Thank you for welcoming us to
this paradise. Your beautiful home, colourful gardens and mountain
air have relaxed and inspired us. We can't ever remember having
eaten such wonderfully prepared meals; one of the highlights of
our stay. We hope to return soon." Karen Naru,

"The ancients say that paradise is a walled garden, filled with
beautiful fruit trees, sweet aromas, kind people and tranquility.
You have created that paradise here in Cirali. Many thanks for
your gentle hospitality, delicious meals and breath-taking views."

"While looking for a relaxing
break earlier this year we felt very lucky when we stumbled across
the Journey Anatolia website. Serkan was very helpful in finding
out the answers to all those little questions we had and he quickly
sorted out our stay in the Mediterranean Garden Retreat in Cirali,
a wonderful little gem of a place to visit. Our hostess Serpil
warmly welcomed us from day one. We immediately loved the homeliness
of the stone cottage where she had left homemade jams and marmalades,
fresh fruit and vegetables, olives, bread and cheese for us to
snack on, and we later found out we could make our own fresh juices
too! As the holiday progressed we formed a close bond with our
hosts. They looked after all our needs and more, we were deeply
touched by their hospitality and felt very much at home. We were
never disappointed with the meals, a varied array of exquisite,
freshly prepared food for us both at breakfast and dinner. This
was the perfect start and end to each day, complementing our long
walks along the beach overlooking the crystal-clear sea, hiking
in the mountains, or cycling around the village as well as all
the other sight-seeing we managed to do. All in all, we couldn’t
have asked for a better holiday." Jaime
